The latest online poker company to join the Android app race is Redkings, which this week launched an offering suitable for use on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.

Dubbed Portable Poker on Android, the app allows poker players to play in real money or play-for-fun mode, connecting with thousands of other players on the Ongame network. Both 3G mobile and WiFi connection is enabled.

Jack Simons, European VIP manager at Red Kings, said this week: “Our new RedKings Android App allows players exactly the same functions as their PC or laptop. Players can open a RedKings poker account through their Android device, make deposits or withdrawals and check for daily offers while on the move.’

Simons says that his company is planning the release of an iOS version of the app in the near future.

Online reviews of the new product report that it is easy to navigate with buttons on the right of the screen allowing for bets such as half the pot, pot and all-in. The action is fluid and fast, reading bet amounts is straightforward, and unexpected interruptions through phone calls are taken into account, with the software allowing the player to reseat with just one click.

The RedKings app allows players to play fixed limit, pot limit or no limit Holdem, along with heads-up 6-max or full ring tables.

Android Poker Sites.com reports that Red Kings is a fast growing online poker room headquartered in Cyprus and part of the Ongame Network. The network was reportedly among the first to develop a downloadable Android app for retention on individual mobile and tablet devices.

“Red Kings have pretty much nailed it,” the independent information site notes. “The graphics are very high contrast so it’s pretty easy to pick out the important information like bet sizes, stack sizes, and of course the cards and the controls for choosing your action and sizing your bets and raises are pretty reliable, making misclicks unlikely.”
