SwitchPoker is quite a rudimentary mobile poker room when compared to BWin but is still quite good fun although it can sometimes be a struggle to find enough players to play against. SwitchPoker is a browser/java based game on the iphone and a downloadable app for the android so for iphone users it’s extremely easy to get up and running which is always a plus.

Installation

As mentioned installation is extremely easy and it’s just a case of going to SwitchPoker and entering some details and then selecting a poke room to play at, either for fun or real money.

  • Click on the link to SwitchPoker mobile poker www.switchpoker.com.
  • Click on the Sign Up button and enter your screenname, email address, agree to the terms and click register.
  • You now click on Play Now to go to the poker room, where you can select to play for fun or real money and you can select which poker table to play at.

Games and Features of the Poker Room

OK so that is the “installation” covered and I hope you agree that it’s fairly simple to do, now to the games and features of Switchpoker.com which is as simple as going to the website and clicking on Play Now.

There is not a huge variety of poker games at SwitchPoker and another problem is that when I went to trial the game there was hardly anybody to play against, this is especially worrying because I tried to play in the evening and also at midday. The only poker variant I could see was Texas Hold’em and the only choice of tables was shorthand (6 players) or heads up (2 players) but there was at least a good selection of betting levels.

All in all the experience at SwitchPoker in terms of games and features is not to impressive, I much prefer BetWin in terms of games.

Bonuses and promotions

SwitchPoker are running quite a good promotion, if you deposit €150 and meet there minimum bet requirements then they give you an ipad or if you deposit €50 then you get an iphone touch after you accumulate enough points through playing. SwitchPoker also run a “Refer a friend” scheme which gives you €50 and your friend €50 dependent on a minimum amount of bets.

They accept deposits from Skrill(Moneybookers), Neteller and BitCoin.

Summary

In conclusion I’m finding it hard to say many positive things about SwitchPoker, it looks ok but seems to be very much in its infancy with not enough players and fairly rudimentary graphics and games. By all means check it out, especially the Android app which does allow multi-tabling and is far better than the iphone version but at this time my recommendation would be to check out BWin Poker instead.
