The Austrian online sports betting company Interwetten’s latest half-year results illustrate yet again how important mobile wagering facilities are to the modern gambling company, with the company reporting that mobile wagering was a major contributor and now accounts for 40 percent of its revenues.

Overall revenues climbed 9 percent y-o-y to reach Euro 19.7 million in H1-2013, with profits soaring over a hundred percent from Euro 1 million to Euro 2.2 million at the Malta-licensed firm.

During the first quarter of the reporting period Interwetten introduced a mobile casino app which has been very successful, making a major contribution to revenues.
