A deal between game developer and publishing platform TreSensa and mobile payments processor Fortumo reached this week means that independent HTML5 developers who publish their apps through TreSensa can use an efficient payment processing system to earn mobile revenues.

Fortumo’s in-app payment services will have particular appeal for developers, because additional integration is not necessary – the service is carried across the TreSensa platform, allowing developers to take advantage of the growing mobile web games market.

“In-app purchasing has become the industry standard business model for mobile games,” said Robert Grossberg, chief executive at TreSensa. “In partnership with Fortumo, we are now making this payment solution available to HTML5 developers as well.

“Mobile web games have tremendous growth opportunities ahead and developers can now easily take advantage of this.”

Rain Rannu, CEO of Fortumo, claimed there are over 4 billion people in the world who do not have or use credit cards, but are capable of making purchases online using carrier billing.

“Carrier billing outperforms credit cards in terms of conversion, especially on mobile devices,” he said.
