The popularity and player demand for the original Zynga Poker app – and the fact that it continues to deliver 24 percent of the company’s gaming revenues – has prompted the San Francisco-based supplier to plan the re-launch of the product to augment a newer poker product launched last month.

Zynga will rebrand the original product Zynga Poker Classic in a marketing move possibly influenced by similar nostalgic brand revamps by corporates in other industries.

Zynga exec Jon Liu revealed this week that Zynga Poker Classic will relaunch before the end of the year, initially on the iOS platform with Android versions following.
