The Malta-based online gambling operator Unibet Group has announced the launch of an iPhone version of its online sports book in partnership with Swedish mobile games developer Mobenga.

The deal follows a similar agreement that Mobenga signed with Nordic Gaming Group Limited recently (see previous InfoPowa report)

“We see the mobile channel as an extremely exciting and important growth area and we are committed to providing our customers with the best possible solutions to enjoy our offer via their mobile phones,” said Petter Nylander, CEO for Unibet.

Mobenga revealed that the new Unibet iPhone sports book has been designed to embrace the look and feel of its online counterpart as much as possible. Among its many functions, the new mobile version supports Unibet.com’s market specific approach where navigational paths, offers, highlighted matches and leagues vary according to market and customer segment.

”Apple has done a great job in focusing on superior user experience with the iPhone and Unibet really wanted to focus on this where localisation and ease of use have been key factors,” said Christian Rajter, Mobenga’s chief executive.
