Top international poker pro Annie Duke has launched her much anticipated iPhone application Annie Duke Poker Tutor for pokerheads who want to learn more or hone their skills at the felt.  The new service includes a valuable Tip of the Day, an easy-to-use Texas Hold’em Odds Calculator and a glossary of poker terms.

Best of all – this 3.1 MB download is completely free.

Duke collaborated with an old college friend, Joe Reitman, whose company specialises in iPhone applications to build what she feels is a unique product. Duke said that there are several iPhone apps where fans can play poker, but products that teach and improve poker skills are few and far between.

Duke is well qualified to pass on this sort of educational information; she is a globally respected player of the game and teaches poker at the WSOP Academy along with other international aces, a UB.com pro and winner of the 2010 National Heads-Up Poker Championship. She has earned more than $4.2 million in tournament winnings, and holds a World Series of Poker bracelet.

Users can access and share one Annie Duke poker tip per day with new and different tips added regularly. Beginners to advanced poker players will be able to gain Annie Duke’s insight and her professional poker craft, giving them the skills they need to succeed at the poker table. Poker tips include overall and specific poker strategy, from the importance of aggression to playing position and changing gears.

Users can also use the poker odds calculator to easily and quickly calculate odds while they play, and Annie Duke’s Poker Tutor gives users access to Texas Hold-Em Poker rules, Annie’s web site and Twitter page as well as UB.com’s web site.

Upgrades are planned for the odds calculator that will allow users to process up to nine hands at a time. Future improvements planned involve the inclusion of Omaha.
