Managed Gaming Solutions plc, a provider of mobile and interactive gambling solutions, has been granted a patent covering its “Method for Gaming and Gaming System” by the Patent Office in China. The newly issued patent – 200480043951.1 – specifically covers aspects of the innovative method of mobile gaming invented by the company.
A spokesman for Managed Gaming Solutions said the company already has patents regarding mobile gaming systems granted by the Eurasian Patent Office (“EAPO”) in December 2008 which are valid in several important Eastern European countries including Russia and Belarus. With the patent now approved in China, MGS has secured its intellectual property rights for its gaming products in an additional key gaming market, he said.
MGS chairman Tero Turunen, commented: “We have reached another big milestone in our innovative technology development. We are very glad to have this patent granted in the Chinese market which is already the biggest country in the world in terms of mobile users, and where we expect to gain significant further growth for the development of our company.
